We absolutely love Emily Arrow! We were thrilled to welcome her to Made You Look for a singalong (with her ukulele, of course!) and a book signing recently! Emily is a songwriter, author, and YouTube artist known her for literacy-inspired music for young people. Her mindful work is recognized for its ukulele-driven sound and emphasis on social emotional learning.
In her book, Kids Guide to Learning the Ukulele: 24 Songs to Learn and Play for Kids, children will learn the fundamentals of the ukulele and practice songs, games, and activities with Emily's expert guidance.
The ukulele is an excellent first instrument to learn. The book features Emily's
dot chord method using color coded chords to help beginners jump right in and play songs quickly.
Filled with basic instructions for holding positions, tuning, basic chords, and more, children will learn and practice 24 songs, games, and activities. From songs about counting to songs about yoga, each exciting musical activity provides a rich and playful learning experience kids will love!

"The ukulele is an amazing instrument to teach children. Ukuleles are easy to learn, comfortable to hold, and provide an entry into the world of music. I try to make my own mark by helping children feel happy and confident when they are learning."
